The history of our firm can be traced back to 1961, when Allen Thomas Sr. established his law office in Wilson, North Carolina. In 1983, he and Charles Farris joined forces and founded Thomas & Farris. Over time, the firm has grown and become solidly rooted in the community, assisting clients with a range of legal issues.
Today, we are a full-service law firm providing experienced counsel and representation in a number of legal disciplines, including personal injury, criminal defense, family law, workers' compensation law, unemployment law, handling of estates and real estate law. Our attorneys boast more than 225 years of collective legal experience. With our lawyers' extensive legal background and knowledge of current laws, we are proud to offer the representation you would expect from a large firm with small-firm, community-focused service.

We are located in historic downtown Wilson, next door to the Edna Boykin Cultural Center and less than a block from the courthouse. Our hours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday. If you are unable to come to our office, we will meet with you in your home, the hospital or another location that is convenient for you.
For our Spanish-speaking clients, we have seven bilingual interpreters fluent in Spanish.
